"Bellydance Intersections" is a holistic perspective on dance and movement – a seamless tapestry of belly dance, contemporary, folkloric, ballet, and more, featuring international oriental dance artist Gyöngyi Stúber of Hungary with a rare intersection of talent, including The Allegro Dance Company (Allegro PDX, Portland, Oregon), Brittany Mattox & Coalescence Dance Company, Akahsia, Suzanna, and Ava Raqs Bellydance. In a world focused on difference and segmentation, Bellydance Intersections highlights crossover, collaboration, and unification. Circles, waves, spirals, vibrations, and punctuated movements transcend multiple styles, yielding fresh new inspirations.
This high quality production takes place on July 6th in the exquisite Chapel Performance Space at Good Shepherd Center, and includes a brief post-show Q&A with audience and artists. There is also a kickoff house concert with live music by House of Tarab on July 3rd; workshops with the amazing Gyöngyi on July 4th, 5th, 7th, and 10th, and more!

There is bellydancing with live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Most shows have multiple dancers with the last one being the star of the show and feature Egyptian band MB Orchestra. There is a $10 cover charge on Saturdays and dancing tends to start and end late in the evening with the first dancer going on around 10pm and the last around 11:30pm. Harissa has a definite Middle Eastern nightclub vibe.
2. Petra Mediterranean Bistro

No cover charge but reservations are highly recommended as the space is small.
5. Georgia’s Greek Restaurant
